We never ask you to pay to receive a loan
No “release fees”, no “processing deposits”, no airtime. Our application fee is deducted automatically from the amount we disburse — nobody from ZimMula will ever ask you to send money first.
Possible concerns you might have
ZimMula offers personal installment loans of up to $3,000, over terms from 6 up to 36 months. There is no fixed limit tied to you: your available amount is reassessed for every application against a range of factors, so what you are offered reflects your circumstances at the time you apply rather than a number that simply carries over.
ZimMula currently serves salaried employees whose employers support payroll-deduction repayment, and we are steadily opening up to more employer groups. To apply you only need a valid national ID, an active mobile money account, and your employment details.
Fast — most applications go from submission to money-in-wallet in about 10 minutes. After you apply, one of our credit officers will call you to carefully verify your details and confirm the order, so please keep your phone nearby and answer promptly. Once everything is confirmed, disbursement to your mobile wallet follows immediately. On that call we only verify information — we never ask for fees, PINs, or OTPs.
You repay in equal monthly installments deducted directly from your salary. The exact figure — interest and service fee included — is shown to you before you sign, and it stays the same every month, so there is nothing to remember and nothing to top up manually.
Interest rates start from 4.99%, plus a one-off application fee and a small monthly service fee — every figure is displayed upfront before you commit, and your full repayment schedule is shown before you sign. There are no hidden charges.
Yes, at any time and without penalties. Settling early reduces the interest you pay and keeps your account in good standing — though, as with every loan, your next application is assessed on its own.
Yes. Every application, including from returning customers, is checked by one of our credit officers and has its limit reassessed — we never simply carry over your previous amount. The upside is that a repeat verification call is usually much quicker than your first, since we already have your details on file.
Every ZimMula customer has a personal invite link. Share it with friends — each time someone you invited has a loan approved, $4.99 is credited to you instantly. There is no cap on how many friends you can invite.
Fraudsters sometimes pose as ZimMula customer service. Knowing how we work keeps your money safe.

Not by phone, not by SMS, not on WhatsApp. Anyone asking for your mobile money PIN or a one-time code is a fraudster — hang up immediately.
ZimMula calls from — and answers on — the two support lines published on this page, and nowhere else. Never send money to a personal number, even if the caller knows your details.
The golden rule
Genuine ZimMula calls do happen: our credit officers call to verify a new application, and our team follows up when a salary deduction fails or only partly goes through. But a real ZimMula agent will only ever guide you to repay through the official repayment channels in your ZimMula account — never to a personal number — and will never ask for your PIN, an OTP, or a fee to “release” your loan. If a call feels off, hang up and dial us back yourself on +263 774 241 723 or +263 774 229 943. Been targeted? Report it on either line so we can warn other customers.
